For Review
Our Reviews section features critical engagements with a wide range of media, including reviews of books, exhibitions, and events that contribute to the fields of Eastern European studies, Slavic studies, film, media, and visual studies, as well as related areas of cultural and political inquiry.
We publish reviews in all languages of the region covered in Apparatus, as well as English, German, and French. Our goal is to reflect the linguistic and cultural diversity of the regions and disciplines we cover.
We particularly welcome reviews of works published by smaller academic and independent presses, those engaging with post-colonial and liberation-focused scholarship, and which foreground the work of women, queer, and other historically marginalised authors, artists, and filmmakers.
