APPARATUS needs your support
With your financial support, four new articles will be published dealing with productions from Central and Eastern Europe, namely Germany, Poland, and Russia. These include "Rammbock", a German zombie pandemic film, a realistic depiction of an actual smallpox outbreak in Wrocław, Poland ("Zaraza" / "The Epidemic"), and a number of Russian TV series productions ("Screen-Life"), a Russian pandemic television thriller ("Epidemiia" / "To the Lake"), and four low-budget Russian streaming shows depicting contemporary life under quarantine.
The 4 articles will be published here.
Open Access publications like APPARATUS seek to facilitate the free dissemination of knowledge and circulation of ideas, but are not, of course, “free” to produce. We rely on our underpaid staff, unpaid volunteers, grants, institutional support, publishing subvention – and your donations – to survive. Please consider supporting us today!
Your contribution helps not only to publish the peer-reviewed articles, so they can be read by everyone without cost, but you will also show your personal support of the Apparatus team, as well as of independent Open Access publishing made in Berlin.
This campaign is organised by DiGZ = Digitalen Zugang zu demokratisch gestalten e.V. (Gemeinnütziger Verein, Berlin – a tax-advantaged NGO).
Tax residents in Germany Taxpayers can deduct their donations to tax-advantaged organisations in their tax return as special expenses.
Upon request, you can receive a donation slip (only necessary for sums above 200). Contact us at journalapparatus [at] gmail.com.
